Ann Davies is your Plaid Cymru candidate for the seat of Caerfyrddin.
Ann Davies was born and bred in Carmarthenshire and has served as County Councillor for Llanddarog Ward since 2017 and Cabinet Member for Rural Affairs, Community Cohesion and Planning Policy since 2021.
A former lecturer in early years learning at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and former peripatetic music teacher, Ann is the joint owner of a local children’s nursery and has farmed in the Llanarthne area since 1992. Ann has gained a reputation as a hardworking, approachable campaigner locally, serving as a county chair for a farming union, and as a prominent voice in the campaign against pylons along the Tywi Valley in Carmarthenshire.
Ann is excited about the campaign and the opportunity to be out speaking with as many people as possible across the length and breadth of the constituency, listening to the issues that impact their day-to-day lives, and sharing Plaid Cymru’s positive message for fairness, for ambition, and for Wales.
The new Caerfyrddin seat will merge parts of existing Carmarthen East & Dinefwr and Carmarthen West & South Pembrokeshire constituencies – stretching from Whitland to the Amman Valley.
